Local Site Services's Grab Hire service allows you to leave your waste in a pile, which we then collect for you in a grab lorry.
Our grab lorries are available in various sizes, depending on the quantity of waste to be collected and the area to be accessed. Our largest grab lorries can carry a maximum of 16 tonnes of waste, which equates to a pile around 12-15sqm in size. The attached crane can grab waste directly from the ground up to 8m in all directions, including over walls and fences.
We aim to recycle as much of your waste as possible. This is usually around 90% of each load we collect.
What kind of waste can be collected by a Grab Lorry?
The service is particularly well suited for large quantities of waste soil or rubble, making it popular with construction companies. Unwieldy timber and sections of masonry are also common waste types collected by Grab Lorries.
We regret our Grab Hire Service is not suitable for disposal of the following types of waste:

- Car Batteries and Tyres
- Gas Bottles
- Hazardous Chemicals
- Paint
- Oil
